I recently saw the following posts in a forum about exclusive schools in Manila:
5. ST. PAUL - PARAÑAQUE - If I would be given the chance to choose a school when I was younger, I would definitely NOT choose St. Paul - Parañaque. Why? because I did not learn anything and the location is not that nice (it's very near the wet market). If St. Scho tolerates girl-to-girl relationships, St. Paul Parañaque encourages it. I even know one female teacher who had a relationship with one student which is totally disgusting! They even forced the senior high school students during my time to take that CAT/ACP Training which aggravated the perennial predicament of that school! The students here are extreme - it's either they're super flirt enough to be considered wh*res or they're veritable tomboys enough to be mistaken as MEN, or worse, they look like ruffians! I'm sorry for being so candid and I'm not trying to malign the school but that was what I experienced, saw, and felt.
and another one
st. paul is okay...except for the one in pque.
i have worked with girls from spc-pque and they always struggle with their written english. just my observation.
Well, ladies- I happen to come from that s**hole you call St Paul Paranaque. And I turned out pretty well...
Is that why people give me strange looks when I tell them I come from St Paul Pque? Never thought of that.
I am proud to be from SPCPque. I had a lot of fun times in that school and learned a whole lot. Our directress encouraged me to apply in Ateneo and I got in (and graduated with honours)! A lot of my batchmates went on to UP, La Salle and UST, some even graduated with top honours as well. Oh and I never had a lesbian relationship-and I was never encouraged by anyone to engage in it. I don't think I was a wh*re- I'm still pretty conservative. And what about Paulinians from Pque having such bad English-uhhmmm missy, I happened to study in Oxford so don't go and tell people that SPCPque is shit. It isn't.
But what do you know anyway?
You make your life your own, no matter where you come from, which school you are from.
(Sorry, my bitchiness is coming out!)
